Yirra guyulgang ngurra ‘Growing very strong together’

Yirra guyulgang ngurra ‘Growing very strong together’ is about the journey we go on to grow up proud and strong. It represents the spirit of our communities with people who fuel our spirit with support, knowledge sharing, care and guidance. It pays homage to our families, community leaders, Elders and our ancestors for they people us as a person to continue growing very strong together. This reflected in the different people symbols for child, woman, man and Elder surrounds by our ancestors guidance in the stars above. The three core gathering circles througout the centre of the artwork reflect the times in our life from past, present and future. The layers represent the journey and recognised growth that occurs within ourselves and what we take from one moment to another. The landlines represent the paths we take on Country with the crosshatching representing Mother Earth. The community circles on the far left represent the communities we come from and the far right represents where we now call home. We know that the grow up strong, we can not do it alone.
