Yiradhu Marang 'Good Day'!
Where did the time go? It’s like August just flew by, and now we are welcoming September! Now, more than ever, I want to express my love and thoughts out to everyone – to businesses and mobs, especially to our brothers and sisters out West NSW. It’s absolutely devastating what our rural and remote communities are going through such as Wilcannia, Bourke, Brewarrina, Narromine, Walgett, Lightning Ridge, Dubbo, and Warren (just to name a few). The impacts of the lockdown affect families and businesses in many ways, the overcrowded housing circumstances, mental health, lack of or insufficient health services, impacts on securing food and supplies and the overall concerns for the health of Aboriginal people in these communities..
As a way of showing support, Leticia Anne Designs is pledging 100% of its earnings from the 1:1 coaching sessions. Proceeds are being donated to the GoFundMe campaign ‘Supplies for out Western NSW’, our sister, Marley, from Barefoot Wandering Photography, started and to the campaign started by Taunoa Bugmy ‘Far West NSW Fresh Fruit & Veggie Covid-19’. Huge shoutout to my lovely client from Spear and Arrow as she was one of the first ones to donate. Also, please tune in to my social media channels as we are still coming up with ways to continuously help.
The GoFundMe campaigns are still ongoing. You can yarn with me if you wish to book a 1:1 coaching session or go directly to the campaigns shared at: https://linktr.ee/Leticia_anne.designs
Advocacy and Mentoring Highlights
Last month, I did something outside my comfort zone but really exciting: I’ve decided to create a YouTube Channel! In my channel, I’m yarning about so many things. I’ll be sharing about my journey, experiences in out-of-home care, overcoming trauma, things I am passionate about, starting my own business, social issues for children and youth and mentoring. These really hold a space in my heart, and I am opening up about them on my YouTube channel. New videos are uploaded every week. At the moment, I’ve got two videos up, but keep an eye out, there’s plenty more to come.
I also had the pleasure of being a guest speaker for Youth Action NSW’s Youth Advisory Network meeting last month! It felt amazing to be able to share my experiences to encourage and inspire others with my journey. Youth Action is seeking expressions of interest from co-ordinators and members of youth advisory groups (councils, bodies, associations, etc.) and youth led organisations to be part of a network of young people across NSW. If you’d like to join in on the NSW Youth Advisory Network and receive updates on their meetings, please fill out their EOI.

Monthly Design Tip
Share
Storytelling is your brand’s superpower
This month’s Design Tip is all about YOU telling your story through your brand. Sharing your story in your branding helps heaps as your target audience can connect more easily. Here are ways you can do that:
Grace them with your face!
It has always been proven that target customers are drawn to a brand represented by a face. People connect to people.
Share your brand's purpose.
Tell stories about how and why you decided to start your business. Let the people know what your purpose is.
Keep it real.
Don't be just another sales page trying to get your products out there. Be YOU! The right customers will always be drawn to authenticity.
Reminder: Our New Contact Times
I am currently studying Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts at TAFE for the remainder of the year. Therefore I am no longer working these days, and will not be contactable for meetings and email response – WEDNESDAYS and THURSDAYS. I am excited to give the time to learn more about our Cultural Arts and to bring this knowledge through the illustrations I create in Leticia Anne Designs. These new times are available to also view on our website, Facebook & Google if you ever need to reference.
Monday & Tuesday 10am to 6pm
Friday & Saturdays 10am to 6pm
Email updates
I added all my amazing previous & current clients onto our subscribe list for email updates. I fully acknowledge some people may not want to receive monthly correspondence. So if this is you, you’ll be able to able to unsubscribe down below this email.
That’s a wrap for August! I look forward to watching your business grow and getting to connect with all my new clients that are on board!
