Errin from Church Street Cafe reached out to me to explore creating some custom cup designs for her bio-degradable cups when they changed coffee suppliers to Little Italy in mid-2020. She legit gave me full creative freedom to create them however also wanted two of them to focus on the proud Indigenous culture of her partner, family and community. Alongside side this task was also creating some custom Instagram highlights that connected to her ‘buy me a coffee and tell me I’m pretty’ neon sign in the café.

This series is all about fun, colour, and love for our community. It showcases our native animals, our zoo friends, diversity (from age, people, style, ethnicity etc.), and our talents.

Indigenous Cup Design
This design was inspired by the dreaming and creation of the “Biladurang” Platypus and it’s journey from Narran Lake through the Macquarie River to Flat Rock.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To learn more – adventure along the Tracker Riley cycle track to the small arched walk bridge, where the paths divide towards the zoo and sport fields. Here you will learn the story of the Duck and Water Rat.

Indigenous Cup Design
This design was inspired by the journey of Church Street Cafe to build a platform for community growth and connection – bringing people to a safe gathering place. CSC is a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all near and far! Within the design, you will see the rivers and roads all leading into one, the people in the community and the space of the cafe exploring its uttermost value in Dubbo.
Share & Embrace
These deadly illustrated cups are now at CSC Dubbo after a year hold back due to the impacts of COVID-19! Working on these was amazing as it was one of my first illustrations projects that we completed over a year ago now. It brought us so much joy as we got to showcase our passion for design whilst representing CSC Dubbo brand, and the family and community culture. The Instagram highlights also feature not only as highlights but also as the Instagram cover image for @CSC_Dubbo.
Another cool design project we did for CSC was creating some custom new Instagram Highlights to speak of her Instagram page and connect to her business branding. We brainstormed icon ideas and meanings for her highlights and brought these to life with a neon pink and brink background to connect directly to the buy me a coffee and tell me I’m pretty sign in the cafe. And we love love love them!
